Technical Committees

Mandate

Technical Committees develop standards within defined scopes. Each committee operates under a charter approved by the Standards Council and moves its work through the Article VIII lifecycle: proposal, drafts, committee review, public comment, Standards Council review, ratification, and maintenance.

  • Evidence and Trust Streams Committee
  • Accreditation and Conformity Committee
  • Interoperability and Exchange Committee
  • Memory Governance Committee
  • Cryptography and Quantum Readiness Committee

Composition

Open to technical members and institutional delegates with relevant competence (Article VII, Section 4 — inclusion with competence). Each committee carries a defined scope, a public charter, and required standards metadata under Article VIII, Section 3.

The most direct way to participate in IAASO. Technical members may request assignment to one or more committees when applying for membership — name the committee(s) in your application.
